10-OH-HHC, sometimes written 10-oh-hhc, is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid. The name refers to a hydroxyl group added at the 10 position of the hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) molecule. It does not occur in meaningful amounts in the hemp plant. Instead, it is produced in a laboratory: manufacturers start with compounds derived from legal hemp, such as CBD, and use chemical conversion and hydrogenation steps to build the final molecule. Because of this process, 10-OH-HHC belongs to the same broad family as HHC and HHCP, and searches for 10-oh-hhcp point to a closely related, separately synthesised compound.
